Service Description
Emotional trauma is a negative past event or series of events that was perceived as threatening to survival and which overwhelmed coping and processing mechanisms of the body and mind, causing the past survival mode to continue to be played out in the present. Symptoms can be viewed as a cry for help. There are multiple sources of trauma including childhood abuse, rape, severe accidental injuries, or war. PTSD is one type of trauma response with sensory re-plays of the past without a coherent, cognitive narrative. There are several very effective hypnotherapy methods for resolving the long term difficulties caused by emotional trauma.
